This is a transcription of Julian Lage’s fine solo guitar arrangement of this immortal Jazz standard. Set in a slow tempo, and with a brilliant woody miking of the instrument, it brings out a nostalgic and timeless quality.
This tune is the first song of the musical comedy Babes in Arms, written by the songwriting duo Rodgers & Hart, which premiered on Broadway in 1937. Be sure to see Judy Garland singing the song in the 1939 film version.
