This is a complete transcription of the trio’s performance of the jazz standard “There’s a Lull in My Life”. This was originally written for the 1937 film, Wake Up and Live, starring Alice Faye who first sung and recorded the tune – in a notably jollier version than the ballad mood, in which it came to be remembered. This particular 1950s arrangement is a standard guitar-bass jazz arrangement, which beautifully suits the mellow mood of Chet Baker’s vocal. It is fairly easy to play and a good start for newcomers to Jazz. Enjoy!
