This is a transcription of all the instruments (except drums) on this wonderful recording. (Notice that this now-standard “Emily” was only 4 years old at the time of this recording!) This arrangement is unusual in having two basses playing, one playing long bass notes, the other playing around in the baritone register. This also displays another of Johnny Smith’s jaw-dropping chord arrangements that are great melodic practice for the jazz guitarist. Not to mention the two great solos… Enjoy!
