This is a transcription of Melanie Faye’s little noodling on the classic Bach piece, “Bourrée in E minor”. After playing through the first few bars, she starts noodling around with the timing and adding a back-beat. This is a great exercise in carrying two voices and in keeping the beat. This Bach piece actually has quite track record in rock music history, as it has been as inspiration for Paul McCartney in composing “Blackbird”, covered by Jethro Tull, been a stock part of Jimmy Page’s live solo section during Led Zeppelin’s “Heartbreaker”, etc. Enjoy!
