This is a 2-for-1 transcription, of both versions of Tim Christensen’s acoustic guitar covers of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)”. Both versions were uploaded to his former Facebook account around Christmas: The first one was uploaded on the 23rd/24th of December 2011 and later became the 2015 EP version; the second one was uploaded on the 23rd of December 2016 and is still accessible on his Instagram account.

This song was originally by performed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono and their orchestra, the Plastic Ono Band, as a Christmas song, and an anti-Vietnam War song, in 1971. Tim Christensen’s calm guitar arrangements feature some lovely chords, played in the finger-picking pattern, which by now is one of his signature musical traits.
