This is a transcription of the album version of “Movie”. This groovy tune features many intricate instrumental feats: The John-Mayer’esque guitar fills, the deep well-placed bass, the delicious jazz piano finale, etc. A hidden ingredient in this tune is its laid-back groove that really animates the composition, and lets you practice and perfect these brilliant 4-bar loops over and over again. Overall, this is a solid piece of musicianship.

As a bonus for the pianists, this also includes a transcription of the impressive piano solo on the NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert (in June 2018). This features another delicious jazz piano finale, played by pianist Joseph Price. (The pedal used by Tom Misch is a Moogerfooger MF-101 from Moog.)
