This is an easy-to-play, yet powerful, piano song. For the more seasoned piano players, this is a good exercise in keeping it minimalist. Enjoy!

" [Adding the laugh track] was just an instinct. That's what I like about humor: You can take a really big amount of information and condense it down to a really simple gesture. With that tune I wanted to provide this layer to the song of self-awareness. Because, the song itself is about the way this ironic layer of self-awareness can actually be really soul-killing. And it can prevent you from committing to things that are necessary for your growth as a human being, with a 'soul' that you can either choose to nourish or not. (...) The laugh-track is basically taking everything I just said. That's like, 'How do I say that without saying all that? - Oh! You put a laugh track in it'. And people get it! It's a better way of conveying all that information than what I just did, which was to go on a big semi-incoherent rant about human despair." - Josh Tillman
