This is a note-for-note transcription of the guitar, the bass, and the saxophone on the Johnny Smith Quintet’s version of “I Don’t Stand a Ghost of a Chance with You”. This song was introduced by Bing Crosby with his 1933 single. This guitar arrangement, two decades later, features some innovative guitar playing – e.g., ways of playing fast arpeggios and adaptions of Jazz-piano upper-structures – that is signature Johnny Smith and still worth practicing today. Enjoy!
