“ The title, for me, is a bit abstract. I had a friend who had an apartment in New York, and it was a little apartment, but it was on the 27th floor. It was really high up, so they would describe it as a ‘view’. They had this beautiful view, and they had this little room. … That left an impression on me and, for various reasons, that felt commensurable with the type of music we’re playing: It’s kind of more expansive; technicolor musical world, but still with the intimacy of a small ensemble. So, that’s the connection there for me. ”
