An old digital audio tape (DAT) cassette, featuring a complete recording of the song, resurfaced in June 2023 after it was rediscovered in the basement of the studio engineer Roger Nichols. This forgotten recording has since been remixed by several skilled Steely Dan fans, in particular Jive Miguel, and my transcription here is based these new mixes.
