This is a detailed transcription of the instruments listed above on “The Second Arrangement”. For the purpose of a lead sheet, I have written out all the chords on the lead-vocal sheet.

An original demo digital audio tape (DAT), featuring a near-finished version, was released in June 2023, after it was rediscovered in the basement of the studio engineer Roger Nichols (read more here and here). This recording has since been mastered and mixed by several skilled Steely Dan fans, and this transcription is made on the basis of these new mixes.
