This is a complete transcription the guitar part on this historical performance of “Seven Come Eleven” by the Julian Lage Trio, recorded at the Musical Instruments Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. This song was originally recorded in 1939 by the Benny Goodman Sextet, of which Charlie Christian was a member. This song was co-written by Charlie Christian and prominently featured this 23-year-old pioneer of, what was then called, the “amplified guitar”. As the video title states, the guitar that Julian Lage plays is one of Charlie Christian’s actual guitars. This is as authentic as it gets. Enjoy!
